Mul-T-Lock President Shimon Shekel has been appointed VP High Security Doors for EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), the largest geographical division of the ASSA ABLOY Group, which is the world’s leading provider of door opening solutions, with an annual turnover of 3.5 billion Euro. In his new position, Mr. Shekel will be responsible for developing EMEA’s High Security door business.

"Currently EMEA has five door companies: Fichet in France, Gardesa in Italy, Powershield and Safeguard Doors in the UK and Securitesa in Spain,” says Tzachi Wiesenfeld, who preceded Shimon Shekel as President of Mul-T-Lock and today holds the position of Executive Vice President and Head of EMEA at ASSA ABLOY. "Shimon Shekel will support the growth and coordinate the activities of all our door manufacturers, aiming to increase the synergetic cooperation among the different companies and find new markets for their products. He will also develop a long term strategic plan that will include the acquisition of additional companies, mainly in East Europe and Turkey."

Shimon Shekel brings with him extensive experience in High Security doors, having served as Managing Director of the Door Division of Rav Bariach, Israel’s largest door company. He has been with Mul-T-Lock for many years, and under his leadership as President for the past 5 years, the company’s activities grew by 250%. At ASSA ABLOY, Mul-T-Lock’s parent corporation, Mr. Shekel presently holds the position of Market Region Manager for Israel and Turkey - a role he will continue to hold until a successor is found. The development of the Russian market will continue to be his personal responsibility.
